So I'm back in sunny Orange. My flight from Sydney was pretty delayed because of the massive fog (pic from http://www.smh.com.au/) but other than that it's been pretty uneventful. I'm doing a lot of on call. Blah.Time is galloping away under my nose while I'm here, away from the hustle and the practicalities of life in Melbourne. I'm still trying to get stuff done and finish up things that need finishing before I leave, but it's always that little bit harder from far away. I'm hoping there won't be too much when I get back, but it's always hard to know. I'm sure it will be a whirlwind of frantic errands and last minute organisational crap. Ugh.
I still haven't decided what "skill" to teach to the other aid workers at the briefing yet. I NEED IDEAS, PEOPLE.
Youse have not been commenting on my last few posts anyway. I know youse are perusing this blog so WHERE ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?
Anyhoo, I don't have too much that's interesting to add. I was watching Insight last night (did anyone else see it? Always interesting to watch the alcohol lobby vs the drug and alcohol specialists. Like Thank You For Smoking, only less interesting and the people are older and fatter.) and have since arranged to consume my allocation of standard drinks tonight with some of the Orange gang.
I'm still cut up about Eurovision. Who do you think should have won?

Okay Q, I'm commenting just to shut you up!
I'm also still peeved about Eurovision, although I gather it was all some political issue because it was Serbia's first year in the competition. Why does Eurovision have to be political? Why can't it be about the music? And Sweden clearly had the best music - a little bit heavy metal, a little bit Partridge family (check out that dancing!).
I gather the UK is claiming they were the victims of negative politics because of Iraq. I prefer to think it was their song was absolutely awful. Although apparently it's doing well in the UK charts... but they like Peter Andre, so what can you expect?
Maybe you should teach the other aid workers about your other great passion - fashion. You can do a Trinny and Susannah on them, or show them how to accessorise! ;)
Teach them violin. >D
Teaching suggestions:
Juggling, origami, how to play a card game, how to cheat at cards, a magic trick, the first eleventy digits of an irrational number.
And I comment when I've got something to say - the lack of comments is a clear indication that your blog posts are not impelling your readers to respond.
Another blog I read got 31 comments to a single post asking for thoughts on tact - when and how do you comment on something you don't like about someone? It started quite the Net discussion.
Must remind myself that most of the time I love your brutal bluntness, Don ;)
